BACKGROUND
Mr. Ed never spoke to a human until Wilbur - because Wilbur was somehow the first person he ever actually was interested in speaking with! Except for children, whom Mr. Ed speaks to because they'll never be believed.
PERSONALITY
"Mr. Ed is a sleek, intelligent, well read, up-on-current-events, glasses wearing, wise-cracking Palomino! Ed's booming voice, talents and hobbies keep him on his hooves, and keep Wilbur on his toes." (TV Land) Mr. Ed has an unquenchable curiousity, loves to read, and tries to act out all sorts of seemingly impossible things. He's surfed, driven a truck...you name it, he can probably do it! Mr. Ed is often overly dramatic with Wilbur, and is a major whiner when he doesn't get his way.

POWERS/TACTICS
Mr. Ed is amazing simply as a talking horse, but he also has an amazing bank of interests. However, he tends to be focused on any one or at most two given things at a time; to reflect this, he has two Cramming skills, one which can only be triggered once a subject comes up, and he has 4 skill levels which are usable only with those crammed skills, bringing any crammed skill to 12 or less. Note that Mr. Ed is not particularly strong, for a horse; this is mainly as he seems the brainy, not brawny, type, and as his feats almost never revolved around any sort of display of strength. Note that Mr. Ed's "native language" is ANY animal-speak; because he is himself an animal, he does not pay for Beast Speech, but he does pay to have English.
