Description:
A bit on the lanky side (although players may freely decide he has gained weight as the actor portraying him did), a bit (or a lot, depending on one's taste) good-looking, and average height (though he looks much taller next to the relatively short Carter).
BACKGROUND
From the small town of Mayberry, RFD, Gomer Pyle, a bumbling mechanic, joined the US Marine Corps. The guileless Pyle came under the wing of Sargeant Carter, who attempted to mold him into a true-blue Marine...or get rid of him, according to how frustrated he was by the hapless Pyle at any given moment. Although Gomer is dull-witted and unlucky, he somehow managed to survive to become Private First Class, a rank he has held for years and years, along with Carter who has held the rank of sargeant for years, held back by the association with Pyle's poor record.
PERSONALITY
Gomer Pyle is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet...scratch that, he IS the nicest person you'll ever meet! He is driven to help others, seeing the best in everyone. He greatly admires Sargeant Carter, no matter how insulting and harsh the sargeant may be to him; Pyle knows that Carter is good-hearted (which, underneath it all, he basically is).
